The natural fear

Usually fear may be divided into real fear and neurotic fear. The real fear is explained with the help of the risk and the feeling of danger. If something threatens person's life or health, the fear appears that is the reaction of the organism to danger and risk.
This kind of fear and the way it affects people, the most frequent reactions to fear are partially explained with the help of psychoanalysis. According to scientists our fears may be explained with the help of different situations of our past.
For example, a dog hurt your friend in childhood. You saw this event and you feared that this dog may also hurt you. The fear was rather strong and important at that moment. So, from that time you are afraid of dogs because the fear that dogs may hurt you is still alive in your memory and is still important for you.
From birth we get our first fears. Scientists say that when we are born we get extremely negative impressions from the act of birth that becomes the image of the real danger for life and from that time this danger repeats as the fear. So according to psychologists the first fear of the child is separation from the mother.
But real fear may be controlled by people. If a person is afraid of something, the only way to get rid of it is to face it. For example, if a person is afraid of elevators, he/she should enter it and stay there for several minutes increasing the time of stay.
