The essence of fear

Fear doesn't need to be represented as all of us experienced it at least once. But neurotics are people who know a lot about fear as they experience it almost every day. Besides, they feel this emotion more vividly than other people.
There is no doubt that the problem of fear is the central point which includes all problems of both normal and pathological psychological life.
There are several classifications of fear. From the times of Freud, fear is usually divided into real fear and neurotic fear. Real fear is the ordinary feeling that is characteristic for our life; it is natural reaction of the organism to danger. This fear is natural and sometimes even useful for health. In fact fear is the reaction of protection that gives the signal to the organism.
Another form of fear is psychologically connected with some objects and situations. This fear takes the form of numerous and sometimes even strange phobias.
