The degree of fear

Psychologists try to explain the origins of fear and to investigate it from scientific point of view. That is why a lot of theoretical articles were written to give more explanations to the point of fear and its consequences.
There are several classifications of fear. Fears also differ by the degree.
So, there are Fright, Terror, Horror, Paranoia and Persecution complex.
The Fright is a short fear that appears as the result of stress, sudden contact with another object and is the first degree of fear as it doesn't have any serious consequences and doesn't disturb people from their every-day life.
The Terror is more long-lasting fear that appears when a person feels the danger or risk. This stage is the most frequent in the world. This stage is controlled by people and they forget it very fast after the source of fear is reduced.
The Horror is the extreme stage of terror when a person feels extreme preoccupation and sometimes is not even able to control his/her actions. This stage may last for a long time until the source of the danger is removed. Sometimes it lasts for several seconds.
Paranoia is the form of psyche disease that is reflected in the confidence that some person or the group of people follows the patient with some aim (to kill a person, to put experiments, etc.). As a rule paranoia is accompanied with another psyche disease or is its consequence. Sometimes it is the form of schizophrenia.
The fear may have different forms. It may last for a long time and may disappear at once.
