Kid's fears

The fears of children are simple and may be guessed easily. The reaction of children may be different.
The most frequent fear is the fear of the pain. This pain may be caused by loud sound. Watson and Rayner think that if to combine showing white mice and ringing the bell loudly, children will get the fear of white mice. So, in fact children are afraid of the loud sound. Besides with the lapse of time, this fear may generalize a lot, and a child may be also afraid of white rabbits, white fur, white coat and even white paper.
The fear is usually formed by the chain of events that were accompanied by the same fear. For example, children are not afraid of height from their birth. But if a child fell down from the chair in childhood, then it fell down from swing, then it was trying to catch the cat and fell down from the tree. Every situation was accompanied with the same signal of loosing the support. So the same reflex is created and the fear appears.
Even if it happens unconsciously, it is transmitted through dreams. The dream makes the feeling of fear stronger. And sometimes it even turns into phobia.
It is necessary to mention that it is easier to fight against fears in childhood. And elder the person gets, stronger the fear becomes.
