Fears in religion

If to talk about religions that play very important role in the life of people then one of the most important elements of religion is the fear. But religions of the world raise the fear into metaphysical level turning it not only into the problem of life and death but also into moral aspect.
The death itself turns into the boarder between two worlds. And the other world depends on the actions of people that took place in this world. So the source of fear is not the objective reality but something that is beyond knowledge and understanding.
And this understanding of fear influenced the development of moral views.
In fact religions of the world are based on fear because the fear is the thing that makes people follow religious rules. People are afraid to be punished by God, so they follow the rules, don't sin, and help each other. Of course nobody can say that the fear is the only thing that makes people do good things as there are a lot of reasons that provoke deeds.
Religions of the world are based on two words "or else". Help people or else you'll be punished, don't kill or else you'll get to the hell, etc.
In prehistoric times people started to create gods because they were afraid of natural events such as storms, thunder, snow. They couldn't realise these phenomena that is why they were afraid of it.
So the conclusion is that the source of fears is uncertainty. When people can't make up their mind what is happening, the fear appears. And religion is based on this fear.
